The Division of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the University of Vienna is offering a
Master thesis (in silico)
in the research group Cerebrovascular Pharmacology. Our group develops novel therapeutic options for neurological diseases, with a particular focus on stroke, brain hemorrhage, vascular dementia, and brain aging. Using cutting-edge scientific approaches and technologies, we aim to better understand the nervous system and its interactions with the body. This enables us to develop innovative therapies for prevention, cytoprotection, regeneration, and recovery of motor and cognitive function that are limited in patients suffering from these devastating diseases.
Your tasks will comprise:
Perform Molecular Docking
Acquire 2D and 3D interactions for docked complexes
Predict the pharmacokinetic parameters (ADMET, if needed)
Data analysis
We are looking for a highly motivated person who:
Is interested in neuroscience
Has basic knowledge in docking studies
Has experience in other in-silico approaches (this is a plus)
Works reliably (appropriate training will be provided)
Is a team player
Is fluent in English
Can invest at least 6 months of full-time work
We offer:

The ability to work independently after appropriate training
